Our Approach to Privacy

This page reflects our philosophy and intentions. It is not a legal document and does not modify, replace, or take precedence over our Privacy Policy or Terms of Use, which govern your use of Inspira.

Inspira is currently built and operated by one person. There's no data team, no growth team optimizing for engagement, and no incentive structure pushing toward collecting more than what's needed. Just a single founder building a tool he wanted to exist, who happens to also be the person responsible for protecting your data.

That changes how we think about privacy. A few principles guide us right now:

We collect the minimum we need to operate the product. Today, that's your name and email for your account, and basic app analytics to understand how the product is used and where it breaks. We don't collect your media, your library content, or anything beyond what's necessary to run the service.

We don't sell personal information, and we don't intend to. Your data isn't the product. It never will be.

We process what we can on your device. Where possible, Inspira does the work locally rather than sending things to a server you can't see. As we add features, we'll keep asking whether something needs to leave your device at all before deciding to send it anywhere.

We're still figuring this out, and we're saying so. This is a proof of concept, built by someone learning the legal and operational side of running a company alongside the product itself. We won't always get it perfect on the first try. If something in our policies is unclear, feels off, or seems inconsistent with what we say here, we want to know.

Things will change as we grow, and we'll tell you when they do. As Inspira adds features, like syncing across devices or new ways to share media, we may need to collect more information or process it differently to make those features work. When that happens, we'll update our Privacy Policy and note when it changed. We're not going to quietly expand what we collect and hope nobody notices.

If you have a concern, talk to the person actually running this. Not a support ticket queue, not a chatbot. Email [privacy@inspirahq.io] and you'll hear from the founder.

We're early, we're small, and we'd rather earn your trust the slow way than lose it the fast way.
